AutoCAD-PCB
Software Tools for Executing Electronic Designs Using AutoCAD(R).
The files in the archive ACADPCB.ZIP are intended to make it faster and easier
for a person to initialize and edit printed circuit board and schematic drawings
using the AutoCAD design software. There is a script file that will initialize
such drawings, menu files for optimized menus, and many predefined electronic
blocks. The following is the distribution list:

Note on the ES and ES2 files: almost all of these files are part of the
ACADPCB design tools for AutoCAD, but the ES.SHX and ES2.SHX files are a
little different. They contain shapes for doing schematic drawings.
The ES file was part of AutoCAD's own software, the ES2 file was an
additional file generated by our shop.

Shareware Stuff . . .
AutoCAD is a powerful (and expensive) commercial product of the AutoDesk
Corporation. Our files are public domain "add-ins" developed by Paul Marxhausen of
the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Engineering Electronic Shop to provide
engineering students who have access to AutoCAD-equipped PCs a method of doing
electronic design. We have no connection with AutoDesk and accept no
responsibility for the use or misuse of this software.
The user is encouraged to use these tools and modify them however they wish;
however, if you wish to distribute and share modifications of these files,
please do so under a name other than AutoCAD-PCB and in a different archive
file, if you are sending them to a BBS. We would like to keep the integrity of
the file list above intact. Our support for this software begins
and ends with this release, done in December 1992. Additional updates
or improvements are not planned at this time.
INSTALLATION:
No fancy "INSTALL" program here, just copy all the files in this archive
into whichever directory you use on your computer to do AutoCAD work.
It is assumed that you already have your path set to be able to do work
in that directory. The manual (ACADPCB.DOC) describes how to use the
script files. The *.DWG files can be used as blocks in any drawing
using the AutoCAD INSERT command, but be sure to read the .DOC file
regarding scales, etc. The ES.SHX and ES2.SHX files, which contain
schematic symbols, can be used by using AutoCAD's LOAD command.
